The driving force for my artistic practice has been the desire to highlight the elegance and beauty of the natural world. Each piece is a conversation with my subject on their lives, behaviors, and experiences. Whether this is a family of Wood Ducks at the waters edge or a solitary American Kestrel from his vantage point on a mullein plant. Expressive and at times erratic mark making alludes to the hectic energy of nature, and as you step back and take a piece in in its entirety these marks meld together into a cohesive piece to mirror natures wild and chaotic beauty.
